The New Animated Series' Opening Sequence Chose the Wrong Popular RPG Show Track

The Mighty Nein, the most recent animated adventure from the beloved role-playing group, unveiled an exciting opening credits. It features the beloved group of outcasts, misfits, and rogues fighting hard and making their mark, while also hinting at several heart-wrenching backstories for characters including the voice actor's wizard Caleb, and Travis Willingham's orc warlock, the character Fjord.

Overall, the intro appears amazing. But I couldn't help feeling that an element was lost in the song choice.

The intro employs "Welcome to the Continent", an exceptional composition composed by artist Colm McGuinness. It's a track from the soundtrack album of that title, the second release released by the production company's record label Scanlan Shorthalt Music. It's a great sentimental option, and I believe that devotees of the second campaign will appreciate its presence.

Personally, The Mighty Nein's intro fails to capture the excitement and excitement that accompanied the second campaign's actual-play adventure. "It's Your Turn", written by musician Jason Charles Miller, became an immediate hit in my view when it was initially unveiled in 2015, and it improved further when co-founder the performer added lyrics to the tune for the series' animated intro in 2018.

Featuring vocals from one actress, Laura Bailey, a co-star, as well as Riegel himself, the song was catchy and fun. At the time, I hadn't seen the follow-up series at that point, but it was so infectious that I kept it on my device. It's a song that excites you before you dive into an episode of adventurous fun.

The Mighty Nein's intro with "Welcome to Wildemount" doesn't strike the same chords in my opinion. It's a grand composition, but based on my understanding of this party, I feel that its tone is a little off.

Naturally, the creators has already said that the series will have a few surprises and variations from the original live sessions. An adjusted mood for its intro seems to be among these.

This animated adventure will be released on Prime Video from November 19. For those eager until then, or wish to prepare to learn about the characters of the second series, the original episodes are available on Spotify and YouTube.
