The City of Angels witnessed citywide festivities after the Dodgers won a nail-biting seven-match World Series championship. Supporters across the globe joined local residents in jubilation, marking the first time in 25 years that a franchise has achieved back-to-back championships.
Victory Parade Draws Massive Turnout
Los Angeles area celebrations featured a downtown parade on the morning of the parade, a reserved-seating event at Dodger Stadium, and impromptu gatherings across the city.
Social media videos depict countless of Los Angeles residents packing downtown streets, many displaying handmade banners and team flags. The squad was seen riding high on a double-decker bus through the masses, raising the championship trophy high.

The procession path ended at Dodger Stadium, where the players emerged to Kendrick Lamarās āNot Like Us,ā with DJ Mustard providing music and Ice Cube cruising a Pacific blue classic car around the stadiumās outfield.
Pre-Parade Festivities and Player Reactions
Celebrations began well before the procession, with supporters lighting fireworks in the roads of the city center on the previous evening.
Yoshinobu Yamamoto, awarded the World Seriesā Most Valuable Player, commented plainly about the victory.

Mixed Reactions and City Unity
However, the team owner was met with a cooler reception at the celebration. Video footage from the event appear to show him taking the stage to a combination of cheers and boos, with jeers interrupting his speech.
The World Series acted as a bright spot in what has been a trying year for the city. An approximate 225,000 people attended to the championship parade last year, and according to team member one athlete, supporters this year demonstrated equal or greater support.
