Former Doctor Accused of Assault Charges Involving Thirty-Eight Individuals in His Care
Legal authorities have stated that a ex- physician now faces charges for carrying out sexual assaults involving 38 victims who were patients.
The Grave Charges
Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham faces allegations of numerous acts of sexual assault – comprising some against minors under the age of thirteen – between 2017 to 2021.
One senior CPS official commented, “Legal teams have diligently worked to assist a detailed and complex police inquiry, meticulously examining the evidence to establish that there is a strong case to bring the case to trial and that it is in the interest of justice.”
Scope of the Police Inquiry
The charges follow what investigators called a “complex investigation” into reported sexual offences at two hospitals: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and a facility in Dudley.
Spencer is scheduled to appear at the local magistrates' court on 20 January.

The charging documents said the 45 charges comprise:
- Fifteen counts of assault.
- Seventeen counts of assault by penetration.
- 9 counts of sexual assault of a child under 13.
- Three counts of penetrative assault on a child under thirteen.
- One count of attempting to assault by penetration.
